Barn Finds
A barn find is a classic car or motorcycle that has been discovered, often in derelict condition. The term comes from their tendency to be found in places such as barns, sheds, carports and outbuildings where they have been stored for many years. So many people buy old cars and then realize how much work and money it takes to get them to a reasonable standard which is when they tend to get left to decay until they find the money and time to restore them, however the majority of the time someone else comes along and takes them off their hands, this project shows the cars which are behind these aspirations, the images show the cars from the general public’s eye.

As I have always had a real passion for cars I always love hearing about other people with the same dreams as me, we all have this one similar dream of finishing our cars, however these cars never seem finished as there is always something else new to do or new modifications to create. Sometimes they don’t even get started as time and money are minimal which is when you begin to find them sitting rotting away in garages and on drives etc. which is when they become barn finds. There is also going to be a little side project within this which will be presented within my exhibition, this will show the people behind these images and who owns some of these cars.
