Cuizine

Commensality means to eat together and picnics are a social activity we take part in to spend quality time together. This zine is for families who want to spend time together, during the process of preparing the food, to eating the food in a picnic setting. The aim is to make the images ‘mouth-watering’ and give the impression that the words will jump out the page and excite viewers to make these recipes. This project is about promoting quality time together for families, I would like to carry this zine on once I leave university with different themes in each ‘Cuizine’ issue.

Researching other ‘indie’ zines, journals and more such as; ‘The Gourmand’, ‘Alla Carta’ and more. This has been helpful for what kind of content will go into my zine. For this brief, I have had to also look at the graphic design side of zine creating to have good layouts, typefaces, correct character count per line and more kinds of these techniques.
